These terms govern your use of Lumii ("the app"), available at thelumii.app and go.thelumii.app and provided by C-Link International LLC (Tax ID 851132139). By creating an account or using the app you accept these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What the app offers
Lumii is a tool to organize your personal finances. It lets you record transactions, set budgets and goals, track your net worth and see statistics. Optionally, and with your authorization, it can read the notifications your banks send to your Gmail in order to suggest transactions with the help of artificial intelligence. We may improve, change or remove features over time.
2. Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You can sign in with your Google account or with a code we email you. To have transactions recorded automatically you need a Gmail account.
- The app is for personal use, not for managing the finances of other people or businesses.
3. Your account
You are responsible for what happens in your account and for keeping secure the email or Google account you sign in with. If you believe someone accessed it without your permission, let us know as soon as possible at mauricio@thelumii.app.
4. The Gmail connection
If you connect Gmail, you authorize Lumii to search, with read-only access, for emails from the bank sender addresses you add in Settings, once a day and whenever you tap "Sync now". You are responsible for adding only senders that notify you about your own accounts. You can change those senders or disconnect Gmail at any time. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
5. Artificial intelligence can make mistakes
The transactions the app extracts from your emails, and the reports it generates, are produced with artificial intelligence and may contain errors: wrong amounts, categories, accounts or dates. That is why every imported transaction stays pending review until you confirm or correct it. You are responsible for reviewing the information before using it to make decisions.
6. Not financial advice
The app and its reports are informational tools. They are not financial, accounting, tax or legal advice and do not replace the opinion of a professional. Lumii is not a bank or financial institution, does not move your money and has no access to your bank accounts.
7. Plans and payments
Lumii has a Free plan and paid plans, each with its own monthly limits on automatic transactions and reports, published on our Pricing page. Before charging you for any plan we will show you the price, billing frequency, how to cancel and any other conditions, and you will only be charged if you accept them. If we change the prices or limits of a paid plan, we will notify you in advance.
8. Acceptable use
When using the app you agree not to:
- Try to access other users' data or parts of the app you are not entitled to.
- Attack, overload or interfere with the app, or automate its use abusively.
- Use it for illegal activities or to record other people's information without their permission.
- Copy, resell or commercially exploit the app without our authorization.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
9. Your data is yours
Everything you enter in the app remains yours. You only give us the permission needed to store, process and show it to you while you use the app, as explained in the Privacy Policy. You can export your data from Settings and delete your account whenever you want.
10. Intellectual property
The Lumii name, logo, design and software belong to us or are used with permission. These terms do not give you any rights over them, except the right to use the app as described here. Gmail and Google are trademarks of Google LLC; Lumii is not affiliated with Google or with any bank.
11. Availability
We do our best to keep the app running at all times, but it is provided "as is" and may have interruptions, errors or changes, especially while it is in beta. We recommend exporting your data regularly.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for financial decisions you make based on the information in the app, or for indirect losses arising from its use or unavailability. Nothing in these terms limits the non-waivable rights granted to you by the consumer protection law of your country.
13. Termination
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms. If we decide to shut down the app, we will give you at least 30 days' notice so you can export your data.
14. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will notify you in the app and update the date above. If you keep using the app after the change, you are deemed to accept it.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts of Broward County, Florida, without prejudice to the non-waivable rights you have as a consumer in your country. In case of any discrepancy between the Spanish and English versions, the Spanish version prevails.
